Potholes are damaging our cars every day. They make it less safe to drive, walk and cycle.
Potholes are currently the duty of the County Council, but for too long they have been left as they are. I will make a full audit of the potholes in Kings Hedges and I will hold the County Council accountable for getting this work done and improving our streets. Labour are too busy blaming the Lib Dems and Conservatives and vice versa. It is time to take action on this.
As we look ahead to becoming a Unitary Authority, potholes will fall under our remit, and I will have even more ability to solve this long neglected issue.
Kings Hedges Road, Northfield Avenue and Campkin Road all have traffic that passes through too fast. A vehicle activated sign to remind drivers of the limit has been proven to be effective in many other areas, and is not a costly solution for the benefit it provides. Safety for people and animals has to be a top priority. Other speed deterrents will be considered and ongoing consultations will allow residents to help decide the best way to allocate the budgets.
